![]() Jimmy Shergill is a hoot as the politician left with no wife. Coming right to the Performances! Abhay Deol is a treat to watch & its so good to see him on-screen after a hiatus. Cinematography & Editing deserve a special mention. Aziz's Writing is good & so is his Direction. Okay, not all jokes land right, especially in the second-hour, but the lighthearted nature & the breezy feel of the narrative is hard to dislike. Writer-Director Mudassar Aziz delivers a fun story on love, friendship & madness with energy & humor that actually is likable. The hen-picked son of a ex-governor (Abhay Deol), the politician left with no bride (Jimmy Shergill) and a bumbling a cop in Pakistan (Piyush Mishra) are characters worth rooting for, even though the pace slows in its second-hour, after a hilarious first-hour. The protagonist is not very entertaining (Diana Penty's performance also underwhelms), but the men here are superbly funny. ![]() 'Happy Bhaag Jayegi' Synopsis: After fleeing an arranged marriage, a feisty Indian woman finds herself stranded in Pakistan where the ex-governor's son helps reunite her with her boyfriend. This recent comedy, which opened to modest success, is a delightful comedy, that's anchored by likable humor & terrific performances. 'Happy Bhaag Jayegi' is the surprise of the year.
